AWARD-WINNING ELECTRONIC BOMB DEACTIVATION GAME
It is a cooperative multiplayer game that simulates a real electronic bomb in the briefcase. It puts players in a scene from action movies, where one player is faced with a ticking bomb and knows nothing about how to deactivate it, while the other player, who is playing the role of bomb deactivation expert on a phone line, has the deactivation instructions in his hands, but it cannot see the bomb.
The key to solving this puzzle is in communication between the players.
At the beginning players choose the difficulty level, the time in which they’ll have to deactivate the bomb, the number of modules to solve and the number of allowed mistakes.
Then one player turns the „bomb “on, while the other one is using the deactivation instructions to help him or her to deactivate it. The key thing is that one player cannot see the instructions, and the other cannot see the bomb. Ideally, they should not be even in the same room.
From that point on it’s only their voice that can be used to beat the game.
The game is won when the last puzzle is solved, i.e. last module deactivated.
Then the timer stops and the bomb is deactivated. It is possible to allow up to two mistakes during deactivation, but they will be penalized by speeding up the timer, leaving even less time for deactivation to players.
One mistake too much and the bomb „explodes“!

We were inspired by the video game Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.
We loved it, but we thought that it would be a much better experience to have a real physical device in front of you, with many LEDs, colorful displays, an annoying beeper,s and suspense music. We got rid of “V” from “VR” and developed the real device.
No problem, since you can choose how long the game will be – just a few minutes if you like. Of course, you can have fun for much, much longer.
Bring awesomeness to a whole new level. No need to imagine people, events or monsters, since the bomb is real under your fingers and it’s ticking!

Although Clockwork Briefcase looks like you need a Ph.D. degree in electronics, actually even kids can play it. Then only skill you’ll need is communication.
This game requires just two players. What’s even better – they do not have to be in the same room, not even on the same continent!
Clockwork Briefcase is a cooperative game, meaning that both players are trying to beat the game. We cannot guarantee that there won’t be any arguing, though.

The „path“ to perfecting the game is as with many other games – play&repeat. Although the game looks frighteningly complicated, it’s actually not, at least at the easy level. It’s easy to learn, but difficult to master.
We put a lot of effort into making sure the game never gets boring. We spend a lot of time to design puzzles to be interesting even after many replays. All puzzles are procedurally generated, meaning there will never be the same problem again. Also, all puzzles require constant dialog between players, and you never know what will happen until the end of game. Additionally, we spend a lot of time to ensure that both beginners and experienced players will find it equally interesting and challenging. Therefore, during designing of the puzzles we paid a lot of attention to clearly separate the difficulty levels: easy level is great to learn the rules, after that normal level will give you hours of fun, and finally the hard level will be challenging even for the experienced players.
This game can be played by virtually anyone. The only requirement is good communication, so even 9‑year‑old kids can play it. It’s also great for parties, team buildings, escape rooms…
We participated in 6 startup competitions so far. Out of those 6, we won two times (Idea Knockout 2020 and Belgrade Venture Forum 2016) and once we were second (Idea Knockout 2016). These amazing results are telling us that not only players like it, but also business people think that there is a big financial potential.
Since the first prototype we went to many different events, from startup competitions to fairs. So far we travelled over 15 000 km by car and visited 12 cities in 6 countries: Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Romania, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where over 2 000 people had chance to played it. Their feedback was invaluable for us to polish and improve already exciting gameplay.
